Blossom Sky Holistic Therapies Covid-19 Policy – January 2022
At Blossom Sky Holistic Therapies you can rest assured that all necessary Covid-19 guidelines and precautions are in place. I will be following the latest government guidelines as outlined here. I will continue to monitor and follow guidelines produced by the government, the NHS, the World Health Organisation and the FHT regarding safe practice, hygienic practice and the use of any PPE.

I have completed the ‘Control of Cross-infection in a Post Covid-19 World’ qualification through the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
Booking your treatment
When booking a treatment, you will be asked to complete an online consultation form. This will include a section about Covid-19, with questions such as;
-
Do you currently have Covid-19 or any symptoms of Covid-19?
- Have you had the recent onset of a new continuous cough?
- Do you have a high temperature?
- Have you noticed a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell? -
Have you had Covid-19? If so when was this and how long ago? Were your symptoms mild/moderate/severe?
-
Does anyone in your household or support bubble have Covid-19 or symptoms of Covid-19?
-
Have you been in close contact with anyone else in the past 14 days who has symptoms of Covid-19 or been contacted by the NHS Test and Trace service and told to self-isolate?
-
Are you classed as a vulnerable person (moderate risk) or an extremely vulnerable person (high risk)?
-
Have you received one or both vaccinations?

I will contact you again 24 hours in advance of your appointment to revisit the Covid-19 section. This is to ensure that neither the client nor therapist has developed any symptoms. At this point an additional question will be asked;
-
Can you check your temperature to ensure it is within normal range? (if you are unable to do this I can check with my contactless thermometer one your arrival)

Who can have a treatment?
If you are considered ‘clinically extremely vulnerable’ or ‘clinically vulnerable’ we may need to get permission from your GP before we can proceed. This includes being elderly, having a non-severe lung condition such as asthma, heart disease, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, nerve or brain condition such as MS, or being pregnant.

If you have had Covid-19 but have recovered, we may need to get permission from your GP in order to proceed depending on the severity of your illness.

Cancellation policy
Clients are able to cancel at short notice if symptoms of Covid-19 are suspected.
I will also be closely monitoring my health and that of my family, and I will postpone our treatment if there are any doubts as to our mutual safety.
